    禾草芋蘭為地生性原生蘭，基部假球莖膨大如芋頭，加上呈禾葉狀淡綠色葉片而得名，又名美冠蘭、禾芋蘭，分布於全台低海拔山區及開闊地河床、濱海沙地，它能生長在高鹽分的海灘沙地，有時甚至能在安全島、公園及學校草皮上發現。
